MarvikShop is an open source software package built on the osCommerce platform but with numerous of additional modules installed to make your e-commerce store fully featured out of the box.
Most key modules are already installed but due to the source code remaining faithful to osCommerce pretty much any of their 5000+ modules can be install easily.
The software is undergoing significant improvements at the moment to PHP5.3 and adopting many Web2.0 functionality with the latest Joomla version.
A simple templating system from joomla allows novice users to create fully functional store with relative ease. It remains fast, secure and lightweight unlike Magento and others.
I have found that their active forums and documentation . Questions are normally answered within minutes rather than days by knowledgeable and friendly forum members.
